More people are killed or injured in the workplace through falls from height than any other cause. Many older buildings were designed and built with no thought given to later access, so working on them can be a hazardous task. Even modern buildings with easier access can be dangerous to work on with potential falls caused by such factors as wind, slippery surfaces or an untidy working area.
Mansafe fall arrest systems offer added security to people working at height. In using the system, the worker wears a harness from which a lanyard is clipped onto a ‘life-line’ that is strung between two or more secure points. This allows total freedom of movement for working, and the unique Transfastener design allows the lanyard to pass through any support points without having to be unclipped and re-clipped.
